Overview
Caseflow is a desktop application for legal research. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the app works. This policy explains what data Caseflow handles and how it is treated.
Data we collect
Caseflow does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our servers. The app runs locally on your computer. Saved judgments, annotations, and notes are stored on your device and are not sent anywhere.
Third-party services
Caseflow connects to external APIs to retrieve legal news and case-law data from public sources such as EUR-Lex. These requests are made directly from your device to the relevant service. We do not proxy, log, or monitor these requests.
Cookies and tracking
Caseflow does not use cookies, analytics, or any form of user tracking. We do not collect usage statistics or behavioural data.
Data storage
All user-generated content (saved CELEX numbers, notes, annotations) is stored locally on your machine. If you uninstall Caseflow, this data may be removed depending on your operating system settings.
Children's privacy
Caseflow is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Caseflow after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
